Our GORDON on his Sponsorship Mountain Ride:
Gordon @ the chateau of Haut Koenigsbourg in the Vosges mountains - a 1000m climb with the Rhine valley in the back-ground. Since 1990 'Challenge Adventure Charities' has raised over £2.2 million for worthy causes by organising sponsored cycling events, mainly in France. 100% of all the sponsorship raised goes to charity - half of the monies supports Cancer Research and Wessex Heartbeat, the other half goes to charities nominated by the participant teams, and in Gordon's case the Church Conservation Fund that was the delighted recipient!!

ZOCS - Chris Driver's recent visit to Africa:
Below are some photographs taken by Chris on her ZOCS visit.
They show the school in Lusaka, Zambia which was built with money raised in Finchampstead to to mark the Millenium. The school has 240 pupils who attend in 2 sessions daily.
They are the very poorest children, many are orphans, and this is their only chance to receive basic education.
The children on the roundabout are powering the water pump! They all seem very happy and really value the opportunity to go to school.

If anyone would like any more information about ZOCS in Zambia please let me know.
