Hanging in the Church Centre is the Millennium Tapestry which shows the life & organisations of St. James' Church in the year 2000.
The project was initiated by Teresa Misselbrook who was the Branch leader at the time. The first square was begun in December 1997 by Eileen Burt, who sadly died in February 1998. The tapestry was continued along by 8 of our members who actually stitched the tapestry, Pippa Dunn, Sarah Owen, Joan Ray, Dorothy Taylor, Nan Watson, Teresa Misselbrook, Carolyn Fox, Nicky Alder.
For more details on the Tapestry, come and visit it taking pride of place on the wall keeping an eye on the sweeping staircase in the Parish Centre. There is also a booklet giving details about how the tapestry was made on the wall next to it.

For more details on how to join the MU at St. James', please contact the Branch Leader; Sarah Owen on 0118 973 3111.
